About this tour
Turn a long layover into a visit to the last standing wonder of the ancient world. Your driver and guide meet you in the arrivals hall after passport control and customs, and a private air-conditioned car takes you to the Giza Plateau. With a licensed Egyptologist you see the Great Pyramid, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and the Sphinx, then drive back to the airport. The whole trip takes about 5 to 6 hours from arrivals to departures, so plan a layover of at least 7 hours. Your luggage stays in the car. You leave the airport, so you need to be able to enter Egypt: a visa on arrival or an e-visa, depending on your passport. Plateau tickets are paid at the gate.

Frequently asked questions
How long does my layover need to be?
At least 7 hours between landing and departure. The tour takes about 5 to 6 hours from arrivals to departures, and we drop you at departures at least 3 hours before your flight.
Do I need a visa?
Yes. You leave the airport, so you need to be able to enter Egypt. Depending on your passport, that is a visa on arrival or an e-visa bought in advance. Check the rules for your nationality on Egypt's official e-visa portal, visa2egypt.gov.eg.
What happens to my luggage?
It stays in the car with your driver while you visit the plateau.
What if my flight lands late?
We follow your flight and wait for you. If it lands late, we shorten the visit to the plateau, not the time we leave for your next check-in.
Are the plateau tickets included?
No. You pay them at the gate: 700 EGP for foreign adults, 350 EGP for foreign students. The inside of the Great Pyramid needs an extra ticket.
