This Luxor overnight trip from Hurghada gives you two unhurried days in ancient Thebes instead of one long day on the road. You leave your hotel in the Hurghada area in the morning and drive about four hours to Luxor. In the afternoon your English-speaking guide takes you through Karnak, the largest temple complex of ancient Egypt, and on to Luxor Temple in the centre of town. The night is spent in a 3-star hotel in Luxor with breakfast, so you start day two rested. Cross to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, where your ticket covers three royal tombs, then visit the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut and stop at the Colossi of Memnon before the drive back to the Red Sea. Lunch is included on both days, and so are all standard entry fees and bottled water. Transport is an air-conditioned car or minibus, depending on the size of your group. Day 1: Hurghada to Luxor
Pickup from your hotel in the morning and a drive of about four hours through the Eastern Desert to Luxor on the Nile.
Day 1: Karnak and Luxor Temple
Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak with your guide, then visit Luxor Temple in the town centre. Check in to your 3-star hotel for the night.
Day 2: Valley of the Kings
Cross to the West Bank after breakfast and enter three royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, then see the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Day 2: Return to Hurghada
